Every Effort Counts : A Promise to the Planet

At FA Home & Apparel, sustainability is a promise to the planet and future generations. Through our Restoring Ecosystem initiative, we take proactive steps to minimize our environmental footprint and drive meaningful change across our operations.

From harnessing renewable energy with solar panels to reducing waste through a circular economy, we are committed to integrating sustainability at every level. Our efforts span across tree plantations, water efficiency, rainwater harvesting, and biofuel adoption , ensuring that our resources are used responsibly. By prioritizing chemical & material stewardship, product sustainability, and a no-to-plastic approach, we reinforce our dedication to a cleaner, healthier environment.

Every action we take—whether it’s installing LED lights, building a sustainable supply chain, or innovating eco-conscious materials—reflects our unwavering commitment to restoring and preserving the ecosystem. Sustainability is the foundation of our business.

At FA Home & Apparel, we believe that small changes lead to a lasting impact. Hence, our culture Statement “आपका छोटा सा प्रयास करेगा सबका विकास”

TO BUILD AND TO CONSERVE

Pioneering efforts and concern towards the environment saw the company take sustainable initiatives actively. Our initiatives reflects on the idea of adopting green methods. Right from the installation of solar panels to the usage of LED lighting, practicing rain water harvesting along with multiple plantation drives which involve planting hundreds and thousands of saplings in the vicinity. We also are committed to use sustainably sourced raw materials for our production. Our each idea has been adopted to conserve. Having successfully completed Higg. Index 3.0, we are also a member of SAC (Sustainable Apparel Coalition)

Initiatives

Solar Panels+

At FA Home & Apparel, we are committed to transitioning towards renewable energy to reduce our environmental footprint. In 2024, we installed a solar power plant with a capacity of 680 KW, replacing significant portions of grid electricity consumption with renewable energy. This initiative has resulted in a 20% reduction in carbon emissions associated with electricity use. Additionally, we actively purchase Renewable Energy Certificates (REC credits) to further bolster our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Tree Plantation+

As part of our mission to restore ecosystems, we have planted over 12,000+ trees since 2021 and adopted 17 kilometers of green belt along National Highway 38, and a sprawling 2-acre park at IMT Manesar dedicated for tree plantation activities. Our plantation drives, conducted in collaboration with government schools and FA employees along with their families, aim to create a lasting impact on the environment. Did you know? Each tree we plant offsets approximately 21 kilograms of carbon emissions annually, playing a vital role in purifying the air and combating climate change.
But we don’t stop at planting. At FA, we understand that the true impact of a tree lies in its growth and longevity. Our green initiatives extend to nurturing these trees throughout their lifecycle. Regular care, monitoring, and maintenance ensure they thrive and contribute to the environment for years to come. By preserving and nurturing our green spaces, we reaffirm our promise to create a sustainable and thriving ecosystem for future generations..

Circular Economy+

We actively contribute to the circular economy by minimizing fabric waste and maximizing resource efficiency. Since 2022, we have partnered with certified recycling organizations to recycle 100% of our fabric waste, eliminating 132 tons of fabric in just one year. Our innovative use of upcycled materials includes creating fabric bags for internal product movements, reducing the need for polybags. Currently, 2% of our fabric waste is repurposed into upcycled bags, and we are on track to achieve zero waste to landfill. Additionally, we have established our GHG baseline using the Higg Index 3.0 to monitor and reduce our carbon footprints.

Product Sustainability+

Sustainability is at the core of our product offerings. We source 90% of our raw materials sustainably, with certifications such as GOTS, OCS, GRS, OEKO-TEX & Euro Flax ensuring compliance with global standards. Additionally, 38% of our fabrics consist of BCI cotton, underscoring our dedication to environmentally responsible production practices.
We are dedicated to reimagine product packaging to minimize its environmental impact. By adopting sustainable alternatives and eliminating single-use plastics, we ensure our supply chain aligns with our ESG goals.

Sustainable Supply Chain+

Our supply chain prioritizes sustainability at every stage, from sourcing materials to delivering finished goods. We emphasize transparency, ethical practices and reduced carbon emissions throughout our operations.

No to Plastic+

We are steadfast in eliminating plastic use across our operations, opting for biodegradable and recyclable alternatives to create a plastic-free future.

LED Lights+

Our facilities are illuminated with energy-efficient LED lighting, significantly reducing energy consumption and carbon emissions compared to traditional lighting.

Rainwater Harvesting+

We implement rainwater harvesting systems to conserve water resources. The collected rainwater is filtered and reused in various operations, ensuring optimal utilization of this precious resource.

Chemical & Material Stewardship+

We prioritize the responsible use and management of chemicals and materials to ensure compliance with environmental standards. Our practices protect ecosystems and contribute to the health and safety of our workers and communities.

Use of Biofuel & Water Efficiency+

At FA Home & Apparel, we have embraced eco-friendly biofuels as a vital part of our sustainability strategy. By using PNG (Piped Natural Gas) and IBR (Indian Boiler Regulation) boilers for steam generation, we ensure cleaner and more efficient energy production. This approach significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to conventional fuels, contributing to a lower carbon footprint.
The steam generated through these eco-friendly boilers is condensed into water, creating the purest form of water. This condensate is then reused in various processes, such as washing and other production activities, optimizing resource efficiency and minimizing water wastage. Looking ahead, we are committed to enhancing our biofuel utilization and further integrating circular practices, such as recycling and reusing resources, into our operations to ensure long-term sustainability.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Since its inception, FA Home & Apparel has been a company defined by its unwavering commitment to its people. Guided by the principles of ethical trade and practices that were established at the very start of our journey, we have always stood by our people, for our people, and with our people.

At the heart of FA’s mission lies a dedication to social development as one of our core objectives. Our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs go beyond compliance, aiming to create opportunities, empower communities, and protect the planet. These initiatives are not just activities but an extension of who we are—an organization deeply rooted in the principles of fairness, inclusivity, and sustainability.

“When the company was born, so were its prime principles of Ethical Trade and Practice— principles that continue to guide every step we take.”

Through every program, whether it’s uplifting underprivileged communities, nurturing education, or championing sustainability, we strive to make a meaningful impact. At FA, CSR is more than a responsibility; it’s our purpose and our promise to build a better world for to day and for generations to come.

Each initiative under this banner embodies our core values and our commitment to building a better future for all.

Practices

This tradition of generosity reflects our core values of empathy and social responsibility, reaffirming our commitment to uplifting lives beyond the workplace.

Recycling Plastic Bottles into Planters+

Innovation meets sustainability in our transformative project that turns discarded plastic bottles into vibrant planters. By giving plastic waste a new purpose, we celebrate creativity while addressing environmental challenges. These planters not only beautify spaces but also remind us of the power of small actions in creating sustainable solutions. Employees are encouraged to donate gently used clothing throughout the year via a dedicated donation box. These pre-loved items find new homes in the community, giving them a second life while reducing environmental impact. This ongoing initiative not only promotes sustainability but also fosters a spirit of kindness and sharing within Team FA.

It’s a small but impactful step toward nurturing both the environment and a sustainable workplace.
